Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this company. I called them on a Monday and they did call me back quickly! They immediately scheduled someone to come out the next day. The problem however was entirely with the receptionist. Over the phone, I specifically told her the type of unit I had. She said ok. I made a point of this because I had had a hard time finding someone to come out to serve this particular unit. When I tried to call back later that same day to confirm time, it was difficult to understand the receptionist and she seemed to be struggling with the phones. The next day, the person came out and immediately said, "No, we don't work on that unit." I was frustrated and called the receptionist right away. She said, "Oh no, you never told me that you have that unit. We don't do that." The problem was, that was the ONLY reason I scheduled an appointment with them. I had someone else next to me for the phone call who heard me say it as well. Waste of time.
My 20+ year old gas furnace broke down just the day prior of my Airbnb guest check in date. I started calling several well known seattle providers and the largest majority of them didn't even return my calls after two days from the time I placed it. Julia from Seattle Heating and Cooling returned my call after about an hour and set up a skilful team of two to go to my house and diagnose the problem. At first they got it going but clearly communicated to me that it was about to break down again and that the parts would have been very hard to find if not impossible. All was true and I already knew it. I had been waiting to replace the furnace for the electrification incentives (IRA) to arrive and buy the heat pump - furnace combo. So now I was in a bind and these guys instead of taking advantage of the predicament I had put myself into, gave me a great deal on a brand new American Standard Gas Furnace 95% efficiency 40k BTU. They came over and in 3 hours seamlessly replaced the old furnace with the new one, tested everything and left the house better than they found it. Please understand that I was out of town and was managing this remotely. So I didn't have to cancel my Airbnb reservation (5 days) at the last minute and get a bad review + income loss. Moreover, this furnace is compatible with the heat pump I want tom install next Spring when IRA incentives are in. Obviously I am going to use SH & C. This company is top notch. They are professionals. Answer the phone in real time (at 8 am) and their techs are top notch skillful, respectful and efficient. The value for $ is outstanding. I would recommend them to anyone. Keep up the good job SH & C. Thank you
Alex and Andrew came and they fixed our heating problem, total life savers! They were not messy, professional and explained the process and what we should look for to help us in the future. 10/10
This is a contractor which used to have much stronger web presence : with a group of main contact phone numbers which rotate randomly, with three office locations listed yet you won’t be able to find any, because two of them have the owner’s other two businesses and the third one didn’t even exist. I chose them not only because of its nonexistent location, which is really close to my property, but also because of their paid review on Forbes. I requested for thorough leak search for our hvac system and they sent two different teams, both time they failed to find the real leak. At the end the general manager admitted he used two different names in different teams. While their internet presence has been corrected per government’s pressure, you still need cautious before making a hiring decision for any non-trivial issues. **What a joke! Just saw the response from this contractor. They still have NO CLUE at all what's caused our mini-split's refrigerant leak!!! So, now you know they really don't have capable technicians.
Dmitriy came out the same to do duct cleaning service for our house in West Seattle. He was extremely polite and helpful. I would recommend Seattle hvac for any heating and cooling questions.
