This is a 5 star for service, we had a sewer back up and they came quick to unclog the main sewer line. I give a 1 star for pricing. Very expensive! Almost $800 for about 20 mins of work. I understand why, but after further research there are other emergent companies out there I will call next time. As for the permanent fix they quoted the next day, rotor rooter was triple the amount quoted by other local reputable companies. $18k to fix a 4ft section. We paid half of that to have the whole line replaced.

I had a really poor experience with Roto Rooter. Technician came out to our site and ran the camera down the wrong line, yet still charged us $800 for the service. Did not provide pictures or video of the camera and was very rude to my maintenance technician. We eventually went with a different vendor who did the work correctly for half the price. I followed up three times with the central office about the issue, but never received a follow-up, so I am here now. I manage many commercial and multifamily properties throughout the state and deal with vendors on a day-to-day basis. Our metric for rating vendors falls into three categories: communication, competence, and honesty. Communication: I have left countless voicemails with the company and was promised follow-ups from supervisors that never occurred. For something as straight forward as being charged for an incorrect service, this should have been addressed upon the first call. Competency: The technician ran the camera down the wrong line and did not provide a follow-up report on the findings. We pretty much spend $800 and were left worse off than when we started. Honesty: We've used Roto Rooter in the past with mixed results. They will often do work without much explanation on the invoice as to how they arrived their costs and the follow-up on these concerns has been non-existent. While management only has so much control over the actions of their technicians, it is not a pleasant experience as a customer to be unsure of what you are going to get. Overall, Roto Rooter failed exceptionally on all three of these categories. As a long-time property manager in the area, I cannot in good conscience recommend them for plumbing services. UPDATE: Roto-Rooter promptly followed up on this review and I was put through directly to a lead manager who addressed the issue by the day end. While I still think this could have been dealt with much earlier in the process, I do appreciate the follow-up on this post.

We had a drain at the bottom of a slope in n our driveway that had stopped draining. RotoRooter came the day after my call and the technician was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. He had everything working perfectly in very short order. I felt the price was reasonable and his experience was invaluable! We’re very pleased!

Gio, the guy sent to fix my clogged toilet was prompt, really nice, friendly and figured the problem at once. He offered options on how to fix the problem and after we chose the best option, he did it very professionally. He contacted everyone involved in the fix and was on top of everything until the problem was solved. I recommend Gio to all who need help in their clogged toilet/sewer problems.

**Be warned of their work ethic. Total scam. Called to have Roto-Rooter come snake a drain for a clogged bathtub. They claimed they couldn't get the snake to work, and therefore were going to have to cut open our walls and ceiling to get access to the pipes. (Which then I would have to hire someone else to come fix the drywall...) They quoted over $6,000 to essentially deal with a single clogged tub drain. Went out and bought industrial drain-o from Home Depot and it solved the problem.... I feel their quote was completely egregious and that others should be warned of their questionable integrity. It irritates me to no end when companies take advantage of people. Most would think this was their only option and be out their hard earned and vital savings or rack up credit card debt... disgusting.
